Amanda Berg is a documentary photographer and filmmaker currently working on projects in New York City and North Carolina. She combines conventional and experimental approaches to storytelling with emphasis on community journalism that challenges social expectations and still images that move.

Amanda holds a BFA in Photojournalism from Rochester Institute of Technology and a MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts from Duke University. Her work has been recognized by the Alexia Foundation, North Carolina Press Association, Eddie Adams Workshop, Pingyao International Photography Festival, and featured in outlets such as TIME Online, NPR and Slate.

When not documenting you will most likely find Amanda at the tennis courts.
