Amanda Berg is a documentary photographer and filmmaker dedicated to telling stories that promote cultural awareness. She graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Photojournalism and a concentration in Philosophy. Her project about female binge drinking, Kegs Stand Queens, was recognized by the Alexia Foundation when she won their student award in 2011. In 2011-12 Amanda attended the 24th Eddie Adams Workshop, interned at the Fayetteville Observer and began an MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts at Duke University. Since joining the program at Duke she has become increasingly interested in the intersection of the still and moving image. Her current projects explore gender in sport, the crossroads of military and civilian life and her own familial memory.
