Amanda Berg is a photographer based in Durham, North Carolina.
She graduated from Duke University with an MFA in Experimental and Documentary Arts and Rochester Institute of Technology with a BFA in Photojournalism. Her work has been recognized by the Alexia Foundation, North Carolina Press Association, Eddie Adams Workshop, Pingyao International Photography Festival, and featured in outlets such as TIME Online, NPR and Slate.com.
Amanda combines conventional and experimental approaches, with emphases on community journalism that challenges social expectation. She is currently completing projects in North Carolina and Nebraska and will be moving to New York City in September 2014 as a Lewis Hine Documentary Fellow.
When not behind a camera you will most likely find Amanda at the tennis courts.
